| On October 26-27, 2011, the Alamo
Area Council of Governments Clean Cities Coalition (AACCC), in
partnership with CPS Energy, the City of San Antonio, and the San
Antonio Auto Dealers Association will conduct its second annual
National Electrification of Transportation Conference in San
Antonio, TX. This conference is being held to advance transportation
choices and economic development in our region. By increasing the
use of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, we create greater
energy security and economic growth in our community by diverting
fuel investments from foreign oil to domestically produced
electricity. The Conference provides local government officials, fleet managers, business decision makers, utility planners, media professionals, and interested citizens a forum for learning about and discussing the benefits and opportunities associated with electrified transportation. It will also continue the process of planning a future system of electrified corridors that connect Texas cities. The Conference will be occurring in conjunction with the San Antonio Auto Show which will feature the newest electric vehicles on the market. |
